The impact of COVID- 19 on children in Turkey
Interviews with students
in Turkey
This is a project to learn about something new in a different country it is all about an interview that I took with a kid in Turkey I asked her questions to learn about what is going on in Turkey with COVID- 19. This is what my interview was like with Sevval: The questions I asked and all of the answers that Sevval said. Everything that I said and what Sevval is all in this so make sure you read the whole entire thing,
These are all of my questions that I asked in my interviews:
1. How are people living in Turkey are they going to restaurants or are they quarantined?
2. Is COVID- 19 affecting you doing your school work?
3. How do you feel when you think about COVID- 19?
4. How has COVID- 19 affected your family?
5. Have you or anyone else in your family had COVID- 19?
6. Have you been exposed to COVID- 19?
7. (If person did get COVID- 19) how did you feel when you think about COVID- 19?
8. Have you been going to school or have you been doing virtual learning?
9. Have any of your neighbors had COVID- 19?
10. do you live near any hospitals?
11. if you live near a hospital if you got COVID- 19 how would you get to the hospital?

"I feel scared and my whole family feels scared"
-Sevval
I asked: “ Is COVID- 19 affecting you doing your school work? Sevval said, “ It was affecting me doing my school work because COVID- 19 is scary.” I also asked Sevval, “how would you go to the hospital if you were to get COVID- 19?” Sevval said, “you would probably take a car or an ambulance.” Then I asked “what do you feel like when you think about COVID-19 and then Sevval said, “I feel scared and my whole family feels scared.” I asked Sevval if she lived near a hospital and Sevval said that she did live near a hospital. I asked her if she lived near a hospital because if you do live near a hospital then you have a better chance of getting better before others.

"I feel anxious and I just want it to be over"
Here is another story about someone who I Interviewed whose name is Irem. She had a slightly different perspective on things. When I asked Irem what do you feel like when you think about COVID- 19 and she said, I feel anxious and just want it to be over.” Then when I asked her if any of her family members have gotten COVID- 19 Irem said no. Then when I asked her if she lived near a hospital, Irem said that she did live near a hospital.

Conclusions
I liked the interviews because I was talking to someone from another country who is learning how to speak English. I also liked it because I was learning what life was like in Turkey with COVID-19. My experience of COVID-19 is alright because I have gotten exposed twice and my cousin had COVID-19. In Tulsa, our cases are rising and our schools are getting shut down. But in Turkey people have been quarantined and people in the U.S. have been outside and going to restaurants. I have been attending school online so I don’t have to worry about exposure from classmates. I think you should do all of this also!
